Lauren's Story

Lauren is a Master's level biochemist, former research scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, former college professor, Precision Nutrition certified nutritionist, United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy certified running coach, Metabolic Specialist, outdoor adventure junkie and mom to 3 boys.

Lauren decided to leave the world of research many years ago to follow her love of teaching. Over the years, this has morphed from teaching college, high school and middle school science to coaching others in fitness and nutrition. It is her belief that everyone can benefit from personal coaching.

Lauren is deeply passionate about helping women midlife and beyond conquer their health, wellness and performance goals. As a 40+ year-old busy mom of three, she completely understands that finding time for fitness can be a challenge.

In adulthood, Lauren found that her passion was trail and ultra running. She has conquered distances from 5K to 100 miles and everything in-between. She especially loves self-supported adventure running and other outdoor endurance pursuits. Lauren also loves mountaineering, adventure racing and wilderness survival challenges.

As a woman who has battled PCOS for over 20 years and has even been through gestational diabetes, Lauren understands the unique needs of athletes with metabolic disorder. She pursued Metabolic Efficiency Training in 2023 to support herself and her athletes who struggle with blood glucose control.

When not running, you can also find Lauren rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, backpacking and sharing these pursuits with her husband and children.
